Plantation Shutters and You

When it comes to the world of interior decorating it seems like everyone is an expert.  Heck, there are tons of people that have started side businesses doing just that.  Of course some do it exceptionally well, while others don’t really put forth the effort required to get truly amazing results.  And finally there are some that are just blessed with a special eye to see things just so.  If you aren’t any of the above and don’t have the cash to hire one of these people to come and decorate your house, don’t fret.  You can get by on your own, blaze a trail with what you like and save a few bucks doing it.  And at the end of the day you will get to show your friends and relatives what you have in that head of yours.

Plantation shutters are one great way to get a great look at a square price.  Granted they are not for everyone, but they do look sharp and they come relatively inexpensive as compared to some wooden blinds and other curtain sets.  The key thing to remember is that unless you have the most standard sized windows you will need to measure them and order some custom made plantation shutters to get that perfect effect you are looking for.  But don’t worry, a tape measure and a pen and paper are all that is required to do this correctly.  Who need the expense of curtains, shams and the whole shooting match when you can get a great look with interior shutters?

And once you have them they are easy to install and put up on your own.  Sure you could hire a handy man to do it, but it is necessary and then you can brag to your friends that this project was done completely on your own and will look great.  Simply measure again and install in minutes.  There are even plantation shutters for French doors!
