The money I saved this past year has paid for all the carpenters tools I bought and then some. Think about that. I got my tools for free, kept some hard earned money in my pocket, and I still have my carpenter tools in the garage to help me save more money for years to come.

Don’t pay Joe the carpenter to do it for you. Take the money you were going to pay Joe and stick it in the bank. Pretty soon you’ll be ready to go have some fun cause now you’re saving the big bucks.

Here is how I use mine. Feel free to follow your own path. The first thing I do after petting it and telling it that it’s a good girl is to fill it with gas. Yes, mine is a gas-powered leaf vacuum. Ok, enough foolishness, let’s get to work. Using a arcing, sweeping motion, blow the offending yard debris into a pile. I find it easier if I have something to blow the leaves up against, such as a fence. Tip #1: Do not blow the leaves into your neighbors yard or a public street. Ahem, we won’t get into my own personal experiences. Once you have the leaves all piled up nicely, switch your unit to vacuum mode and suck away baby! Your machine, if it’s a good one, will grind those little buggers up and voila! Instant mulch to put around your trees, bushes, garden, or wherever else you want.

I know what some of you are thinking. Have we as a society really sunk to this level of laziness that we would use a blower/vacuum/mulcher to do something we could just do ourselves and reap the benefits of fresh air and exercise? The answer is a resounding yes. If a hand-held model still seems like too much work for you, you can buy a lawn tractor and pull-behind lawn vacuum.
