Thinking of buying or installing some new lighting fixtures but do not know which ones to buy. If this is the case then you have come to the right place because today we are going to be going over some of the different types and styles of light fixtures. The light fixtures that we are going to be talking about are the pendant light, the chandelier, and the sconce.

Also another thing that you should decide before adding new light fixtures is how much you are willing to spend when purchasing your lights and lamps. Now that you have answered these two questions it is now time to look at some of the different types of light fixtures that are available on the market today.

The first light that we will be discussing is the pendant light. Pendant lights are lights that are suspended or hung from the ceiling with an attached single light fixture. Often times you will find these types of lights hanging above pool or billiard or pool tables, also these types of lights are popular above bars.

Our next type of light fixture is the chandelier. Chandeliers are just like the pendant light except instead of a single light fixture they have at least two arms, often they have more. There are many types of chandeliers around and some of the most popular are iron chandeliers. Iron chandeliers fulfill both the purpose of lighting the room and add significant style to the room. Chandeliers are good at lighting rooms that are in need of central lighting from a high ceiling.

Our last type of light fixture is the sconce. Sconces are light fixtures that are hung by brackets on walls. Sconces are more for indirect accent lighting than they are for lighting up a whole room like a chandelier.The two most common types are the modern outdoor sconce and the candle wall sconce.
